Not just a pretty fruit, the pineapple is also a symbol of hospitality and luxury. There was a time when the hot trend was to display a pineapple as a table decoration (people would even rent them!). And it was the warmest welcome a hostess could extend to her guests.
Later on American sea captains would place a pineapple outside the door to tell their friends they had returned home. Nowadays the fruit is trendier than ever, and you can use it to say hello to all your friends, even strangers!
If you're curious how this was made... I started with a hand sketch then scanned and traced it in the computer. Following this I applied handmade textures and colors digitally. The word was hand lettered and also scanned and cleaned up in the computer.
